DAF Working Principle

Application in  Textile And Dyeing Wastewater Treatment Application

1. Removal of suspended solids
Textile printing and dyeing wastewater usually contains a large number of fibers and other suspended solids, which affect the efficiency of the subsequent treatment process. DAF significantly reduces the amount of suspended solids in the wastewater by releasing tiny bubbles, which attach to the suspended solids, causing them to float to the surface and form scum, which is easy to remove.

2. Removal of grease and floating oil
Lubricants and oily auxiliaries used in the textile printing and dyeing process lead to grease and oil slicks in the wastewater. the DAF system is able to effectively remove these grease and oil slicks. the air bubbles attach to the oil droplets, causing them to collect and float to the surface of the water, forming a scum layer that is easy to collect and remove.

3. Remove color and dye
Textile printing and dyeing wastewater often contains a large number of dyes and color. By adding flocculant and DAF treatment, it is able to remove dyes and chroma together with suspended matter. The air bubbles attach to the flocculants, causing them to rise to the surface of the water and form a scum layer, thus effectively reducing the color and dye content of the wastewater.

4. Removal of organic matter
Textile printing and dyeing wastewater contains a large number of organic substances, such as pulp, surfactants and auxiliaries, etc. DAF can remove part of the soluble organic matter and colloidal substances, through the addition of appropriate chemicals, can improve the removal of organic matter, thereby reducing the chemical oxygen demand (COD) and biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) of wastewater.

5. Improve the efficiency of subsequent treatment processes
DAF as a pretreatment process, can significantly reduce the concentration of suspended solids, oil and grease and organic matter in wastewater, for subsequent biological treatment (such as activated sludge, MBBR, etc.) and physicochemical treatment (such as sand filtration, activated carbon adsorption, etc.) to provide a more stable and suitable feed water conditions, to improve the efficiency and stability of the overall treatment system.

6. Reduce pharmaceutical and energy consumption
DAF pretreatment can reduce the consumption of chemicals and energy in the subsequent treatment process. For example, the amount of flocculants and coagulants can be significantly reduced, the biological treatment process can also reduce the need for aeration, thus reducing the overall treatment costs.

7. Improved effluent quality
The clarification of wastewater after DAF treatment is significantly improved, and the content of suspended solids, oil and grease, organic matter and chromaticity in the effluent water is significantly reduced, and the effluent water quality can meet the discharge standards or reuse requirements. For textile printing and dyeing enterprises, this is not only conducive to environmental protection, but also in line with the increasingly stringent environmental regulations.

8. Reduce the amount of sludge generated
DAF treatment can significantly reduce the amount of sludge generated in the subsequent treatment process.DAF removes a large amount of suspended solids and grease, reduces the load on the sludge dewatering equipment, improves the performance of sludge dewatering, and reduces the cost of sludge treatment and disposal.
